Established in 1996, DayStar Research conducts marketing research, program evaluations, organizational and community needs assessments, and trainings.
DayStar’s projects have received substantial media attention including: The New York Times, Washington Post, USA Today, CNN, Miami Herald, Boston Globe, Black Enterprise Magazine, BlackVoices.com and Cleveland Plain Dealer…to name a few.
We conduct the DayStar Survey of African American Higher Educational Professionals which is used to produce the “Top 50 Colleges for African Americans,” published in Black Enterprise Magazine, 1999, 2001, 2003, 2004, 2006. Our educational research lead to the “DayStar Guide to Colleges for African American Students” published by Stanly Kaplan-Simon and Schuster, and “8 Steps to Health Black Families Pay for College” published by Princeton Review-Random House. Our survey of the 100 African Americans who most influenced the 20th century (Pillars of a People) was featured on Blackvoices.com and the Tribune Television Stations during Black History Month at the turn of the millennium (2000). DayStar also created and manages the Internet web site CollegeCounts.com to provide information and advice on college selection.
DayStar Research is 100% minority owned and operated.
